Our speaker on Friday is Jim DeMersman, Executive Director of the Museum on Main. Jim has been the Director of the Museum on Main since September 2009. His career in small and medium sized museums has taken him across the country including stints in New Jersey, Colorado, Washington DC, and then to California in Palm Springs, Hayward, Oakland before landing in Pleasanton. He holds a BA in History and Business Administration from Houghton College in Houghton, NY about an hour and a half south of his native Rochester.  He is also a past Board member and officer of the Pleasanton Downtown Association and the Chamber’s Leadership Pleasanton program.

Jim will be sharing information about how the museum has survived the Covid time and what's happening now.

Will President Eddie find the lost bell? The security detail has failed him ...

District Avenues of Service Day

On October 2nd, Rotarians of District 5170 attended our annual Avenues of Service event where we had the opportunity to meet and collaborate with fellow Rotarians and hear from our District leaders.  Our speakers included our current District Governor Richard Flanders, Richard D. King (Past President of Rotary International) and our keynote speaker, Linda Coble (Past District Governor of Honolulu).  Over 200 members and prospective members attended the event (either virtually or in-person) at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, which included a large project fair and the recognition of several Paul Harris Fellows.  A big thanks to the event chair (and PNR member) Herb Ritter and the team that put on this wonderful event.
