Giving Opportunities

Just a reminder, the holiday season is here, and so are the cyber deals! As we start to splurge on gifts for our family and friends, please remember those that are less fortunate. Many families (even in the Tri-Valley) are living paycheck-to-paycheck and can barely afford the necessities in life, and we have the opportunity to make their holidays just a little bit brighter, especially for the kids! Here are some ways you can help.
Toy Donations for Hively
Hively will be holding a free Christmas gift shopping day for about 500 low-income families in the Tri-Valley. They're looking for new/unwrapped gifts for ages 0-13 years old through December 12th. Items can be purchased online through their Amazon Wishlist, or dropped off at a club meeting or at the Dublin police department.
Warmth for the Little Ones with Little Miracles
Little Miracles helps the littlest ones, infants and toddlers, and they said they're "extremely low on jackets and have no slippers." They're looking for coats/jackets size 6mos-3t, and walking slippers for toddlers. You can purchase through their Amazon wishlist by using the QR code below, or you can bring donations to a club meeting, or you can make arrangements to drop off with me through December 18th.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Toy and Food Pantry Sorting at Davis Street
Davis Street has a huge event to provide 1200 holiday baskets of toys, food and essentials to low-income families in the East Bay. Pre-COVID we had a PNR crew that helped sort toys and food in their pantry before the event, and we all really enjoyed it. Back by popular demand, we'll be joining a toy/food sorting day on December 16th from 9-11am. Kids age 8+ are welcome! Please use this SIGN UP SHEET or email me if you're interested.
*Big thank you to the members who stepped up to adopt families for Christmas through the Las Positas College Veterans First Program. Thank you Gina Piper (and her mom Janet), Dr Jim Ott, Josh Cherry, Billy Buckley, and President Zamboni.
